Cheviot Police Law Enforcement Explorer Program

The Cheviot Police Department offers a program for young men and women between the ages of 14 and 20 years to participate in the Law Enforcement Explorer Program. The program offers training in patrol and investigative procedures that are used by Police Officers and the Explorers may participate in a ride-along program. In addition, the Police Explorers assist the members of the Cheviot Police Department with various Community Programs, including parade details, the Harvest Home Fair and other Crime Prevention events.

Each spring, the Police Explorers participate in the area Law Enforcement Explorer Competition and compete in police scenarios with other area Police Explorer Posts.

Regular meeting and training dates are on the first and third Wednesdays of each month.

For more information, contact Officers Steve Knapp or Jeff Patton at 661-2700.
